Friendly Places? How faith can respond to mental health

As we’ve been dealing with the crisis of the last two years, one of the starkest revelations has been around how many people have seen an impact on their mental health, including many of those within our faith communities and those who’ve reached out to our faith communities for help.

As restrictions ease, and life begins returning to normal, how to help those who now find themselves dealing with issues around their mental health is something many are thinking about.

Join us for our online event on Thursday 31st March at 7pm, as we look at:

  • What is the Friendly Places Pledge? – what can places of worship and faith groups do to make themselves more inclusive for those with mental health issues?
  • Hear from Healthwatch Barking and Dagenham on the local mental health picture and services available in Barking and Dagenham
  • Join our discussion as we explore a scenario and discuss how we as a faith community can respond to this need.
